Across our various partners, we have some great opportunities for students to come to the U.K. to improve their English whilst also playing football.

This is an opportunity that is designed for students who do not have English as a first language, giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the British culture, work with qualified languages tutors and continue to play soccer.

With the various English Language Soccer opportunities available, students can work towards a qualification to best suit their needs. It is possible to focus tuition towards preparing a specific exam, life at a U.K. academic institution or general day to day use.

Having spent time in the U.K. improving your English, there are a number of potential pathways that you could pursue, including:

We work with Private Boarding Schools across the U.K. that offer our student-athletes the opportunities the chance to pursue their high school qualification alongside a soccer opportunity.

After a language course in the U.K. if you wish to immerse yourself in the English language further, by spending either a term of a full academic year at an English Private Boarding School. Our staff would be happy to help you in generating a list of potential opportunities.

After raising your English to an appropriate standard, you may wish to pursue a place at a U.K. university, where you’d have the option to pursue a degree in your preferred subject whilst also continue to play soccer.

Any player who pursues an England Language Soccer Opportunity and decides they explore the possibility of studying in the U.K. university opportunities will have our full support in finding suitable opportunities. Our staff will assist with promotion to U.K. soccer coaches, arranging university visits, soccer trials and assistance with U.K. university applications.

Alternatively, instead of pursuing a U.K. university placement, players may instead look to pursue a university placement in the United States.
